Richard J. Turano

Richard J. Turano is an associate with Buglione, Hutton & DeYoe specializing in Worker’s Compensation, Civil Litigation, and Real Estate transactions practices. He has represented regional and national clients in New Jersey’s State, Federal, Administrative, and Compensation courts, as well as binding and non-binding arbitration proceedings.

Mr. Turano has successfully litigated cases from inception through trial conclusion as lead counsel and has been able to minimize litigation risk through the negotiation of numerous settlements on behalf of clients. He also currently manages the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice and has experience litigating cases with New Jersey’s Second Injury Fund. Mr. Turano’s civil litigation practice includes cases involving commercial and contractual disputes, consumer fraud, environmental law, labor and employment, general negligence, personal injury, and wrongful death.

Mr. Turano represents clients comprised of insurance companies, public water utility companies, municipalities, Boards of Education, and other public entities. His experience also includes management of complex environmental litigation with over 300 parties, commercial and residential real estate transactions, commercial lease agreements, and municipal property tax appeals.

Mr. Turano was selected to New Jersey Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list in 2012. Thomson Reuters issues the Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers Rising Stars lists*.

Prior to law school, he was employed in the finance industry for nearly five years in the field of asset management.

Mr. Turano graduated from Boston College, Carroll School of Management in 2001, and Rutgers School of Law in 2008.

Mr. Turano was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and Federal District Court in 2008, and the New York Bar in 2009.

He is also a member of the Passaic County and New York Bar Associations.

During law school, Mr. Turano was a Staff Editor of the Rutgers Business Law Journal and a Student Attorney for Rutgers Federal Tax Law Clinic.
